Pandora Papers: Patriotic Millionaires Call for Crackdown on Global Elite Evading Taxes Like “Common Criminals”

WASHINGTON, DC – Yesterday, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists released The Pandora Papers, a scathing exposé detailing how the world’s wealthiest individuals take advantage of international tax loopholes to hide their wealth across the globe in tax free havens.
In response to these shocking findings, Erica Payne, the President and Founder of the Patriotic Millionaires, issued the following statement:
“This report confirms what everyone on the planet already knew, the global elite – just like their American counterparts – are nothing but a bunch of common criminals and they ought to be treated as such. Joe Biden wants to stop the crooks, unfortunately for the world rather than doing their part, Joe Manchin is driving the getaway car and Kyrsten Sinema is holding the map.”

Previously, the group released a letter to the Congressional Progressive Caucus calling on members of the Caucus to refuse to vote for the bipartisan infrastructure bill unless it is paired with a full $3.5 trillion reconciliation package.
