WHO WE ARE
We are Republicans, Independents, Democrats, and unaffiliated people from the Tarheel State who are deeply concerned about persistently low wages and the current tax system that disproportionately supports the richest people instead of the working people. We want a fair economy that uplifts us all.
WHAT WE DO
We educate our local community about these pressing economic issues by attending community events, hosting monthly dinners, and working to create a stronger economy that works for everyone in North Carolina.
WHY WE DO THIS
We are doing this to help our community and get it to grow. We need to get wages at a level that will encourage people to stay in Columbus County, North Carolina. We are trying to help boost our economy.

How We Started
Patriotic Millionaires launched the Great Economy Project in Whiteville, NC in 2022 with sixty people from different backgrounds and a wide range of political beliefs (Republican, Independent, Democrat, and ‘Hate-Em-All’). They met regularly over dinner with members of Patriotic Millionaires and top researchers to explore how the economy works and the specific ways it is ‘rigged’ in favor of the rich and against regular working people.
