Yesterday, The Center for Political Accountability announced that Chair of the Patriotic Millionaires Morris Pearl has joined their Board of Directors. Pearl brings career experience and a commitment to reforming the influence of money in politics to this already established board.
Pearl’s work with The Center for Political Accountability aligns with the work that he has started with the Patriotic Millionaires:
“The Patriotic Millionaires believe that it is a fundamental problem when people spend money to gain political influence – and it is even worse that some of these people are spending company money, not their personal money,” Pearl said. “By publicizing and bringing transparency to corporate political spending, The Center for Political Accountability is giving voters some more insight to what is going on and, hopefully this should continue to cut back on egregious corporate political spending.”
Corporate political spending without accountability does not benefit the company or the shareholders. Pearl will continue to work with both the Patriotic Millionaires and The Center for Political Accountability to ensure fair political practices for all Americans.
