The Daily Show recently covered this issue, but in their typical tongue in cheek fashion. The show aired a segment highlighting the fact that not only is a disparity in wealth widening between the 1% and everyone else, but even the 1% are progressively being left behind by the 0.01%.
One of their guests was Morris Pearl, Chairman of the Patriotic Millionaires, who was invited on the show to provide his insight on the topic. Needless to say, they were surprised to find a wealthy American who was advocating for raising his own taxes.
