Washington, DC – Today, in response to President Trump’s executive order establishing a commission to address voter fraud, the Patriotic Millionaires’ Chair released the following statement:

“President Trump’s obsession with voter fraud in the 2016 election is a dangerous attack on the legitimacy of our democracy. There is no evidence that voter fraud had any impact on the election, and to suggest otherwise is clearly an attempt to cover for massive voter suppression efforts. President Trump is trying to “Make America Great Again” by turning back the clock to the 1950s, before the Voting Rights Act, before the civil rights movement. Soon, voting will once again be restricted to white men — maybe even white men who own land — and not supporting the president will be a crime as it is in North Korea,” said Patriotic Millionaires’ Chair Morris Pearl, former Managing Director BlackRock, Inc.
