Mayor Kenney of Philadelphia, Mayor-Elect Garrett of Wilkinsburg, and Patriotic Millionaire Richard Master to Join Progressive Organizations Mobilizing Against GOP Tax Bill
Washington, D.C. — On Wednesday, as House Republicans are set to vote on the disastrous tax bill, Mayor Jim Kenney of Philadelphia, Mayor-Elect Marita Garrett of Wilkinsburg, and State Senator Art Haywood will join “Not One Penny” advocates to host a press call to denounce Trump’s tax plan as a giveaway to the wealthy and well-connected at the expense of working families.
The elected officials will be joined on the call by Richard Master, CEO of MCS Industries and a member of the Patriotic Millionaires, Gabrielle Trinkle, a mother of two from Newburg, PA and a member of MomsRising, and Michael Row, owner of the Penn Book Center in Philadelphia and a member of the Main Street Alliance.
Speakers will discuss how Republicans’ tax framework overwhelmingly benefits the wealthiest Americans while millions of working families will see tax increases and the elimination of critical deductions that families depend on.
