TOMORROW: Leaders Schumer and Pelosi Join Members of Congress and Patriotic Millionaires for Rally Against GOP Tax Plans
Rally Comes as House Republicans are Set to Vote on Disastrous Tax Plan, Which Benefits the Wealthy and Well-Connected at the Expense of Working Families
Washington, D.C. — On Wednesday, with House Republicans set to vote on their disastrous plan that gives tax breaks to the richest Americans and wealthy corporations, The Patriotic Millionaires and Not One Penny are hosting a rally at the U.S. Capitol with Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senator Jeff Merkley, Representatives Joseph Crowley, Rosa DeLauro, Debbie Dingell, Lloyd Doggett, Keith Ellison, Pramila Jayapal, Barbara Lee, Alan Lowenthal, and Jerrold Nadler, leaders from progressive organizations, and constituents harmed by the devastating proposal.
Speakers at the rally will also demand that Trump release his tax returns so the American people know just how much he stands to gain from Republican tax plans that overwhelmingly benefit millionaires, billionaires, and wealthy corporations.
The event is being coordinated in partnership with Tax March, Americans for Tax Fairness, the Center for American Progress Action Fund, Communications Workers of America, Indivisible, Little Lobbyists, Main Street Alliance, MoveOn.org, National Education Association, Stand Up America, VoteVets, and numerous others.
